The short version

The word tools on My Word Kit run entirely in your browser. The letters, words, and puzzles you enter are processed locally and are never sent to our servers or stored by us. The only data collection on this site comes from optional advertising (Google AdSense) and analytics (Google Analytics), both of which are gated behind your cookie consent.

What we collect

We do not require accounts and do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information directly. Your cookie consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage so we don't ask on every visit.

Third-party services

Some lookups (rhymes, synonyms, antonyms, crossword clues, and definitions) query the free Datamuse API (api.datamuse.com) and Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev). Only the word or clue you search for is sent to those services; we do not attach any identifying information.

Cookies, advertising, and analytics

We use Google AdSense to show ads that keep the site free, and Google Analytics to understand which tools are useful. Both operate under Google Consent Mode v2:

• If you accept cookies, the AdSense script loads and Google may use cookies to personalize and measure ads. Analytics may also use cookies to measure visits.
• If you reject cookies, no ad scripts load at all, and analytics is limited to anonymous, cookieless pings. The site remains fully functional.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we don't collect personal data ourselves, such requests generally apply to Google's services; rejecting cookies prevents that collection entirely on this site.

This site is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
